Are you feeling lonely? Do you feel like you are doing life alone? Do you feel like you are alone in your feelings and no one understands? Do you feel like you're stuck in a season and your season will never change? You are not alone, even though you may feel alone! Our feelings do not always match reality. Remember his promises!
"No man will be able to stand before you all the days of your life. As I was with Moses, so I will be with you. I will not fail you nor forsake you." – Joshua 1:5
This scripture could not have come at a better time. I needed this today. Maybe you do too. This is a promise that we will feel alone in times. I also feel this is saying man will let us down. No man will stand with you all the days of your life... (Joshua 1:5) People we love, trust, and admire will disappoint us. They will intentionally and unintentionally hurt us. We will feel empty at times. However, God is also promising that he will be our constant. He will not leave us nor forsake us. He will not fail us! Being truthful and transparent, we may feel God is disappointing us because we do not understand his ways. Sometimes we may even be angry toward God. We feel disappointed that things didn’t happen as we thought or hoped they would. We become broken! Life throws curve balls and we blame God because we do not understand how something bad can be something good. People say things and do things that dictate our next move or keep us standing still. It throws us for a loop. Confusion becomes our companion. Life can be such a roller coaster. Seasons come and seasons go. Ecclesiastes 3:1 says "To everything there is a season, and a time to every purpose under heaven." We walk through valleys. We cry. We climb to the mountaintops. We laugh. We questions things! We get stuck! We overcome! We celebrate. Then, another valley or another season. However, sometimes the winter season seems like it will never end. You're stuck again. Maybe it was something that didn’t happen that we wished had. We grieve for a life that did not happen. We grieve for how life used to be. I've been there. For a long time, I held onto something that was over and not meant to be. Some days, I am reminded of how things used to be and I fight my feelings all over again because my heart continually breaks. Then, I remind myself that God's plan for me and my family is greater than what I pictured, thought, or planned. Maybe something did happen that we wish didn’t. I am there. It hurts. It's hard! Like I said earlier, people hurt us intentionally and unintentionally. Whatever it was or is has changed life forever. Life is not as it once was and it will never be again. You’re not the same person you were yesterday and you will be different tomorrow all because of what has taken place. When we trust God and allow him to have his way in our lives, we cannot fathom the beauty of blessings he has in store for us. The things that have been allowed in life are to make us better. His plans are to prosper us, to make us better. Jeremiah 29:11 says "For I know the plans I have for you, declares the Lord, plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future." Is it the future we had planned? More than likely not. That's why we are struggling. So, if you’re like me, you’re feeling a little let down, lonely, and overwhelmed today, sad that you’re still in the valley, disappointed, you’re still fighting and crying, praying for answers still, just remember that God is with us! One day, if we stay faithful even in the valley and dark times, he is going to blow our minds with blessings because he will and can do exceedingly, abundantly more than we can ask or think. He has a plan! He is with us. He would not bring us this far for us to fail. Ephesians 3:20-21 says "...Him who is able to do exceedingly abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that works in us..." He sees every tear, he hears the prayers and the silence of prayers, he is with us through it all. He knows the sacrifice that has taken place! He knows every thought and question that we think. He sees the intent of our heart. He has compassion toward us. He is mindful of us. He just wants us! He wants to be with us so he allows things to bring us closer to him. People travel in and out of our lives. Yes, it hurts. Yes, sometimes the season and process is long. Yet, he is there waiting with arms open wide to embrace us to let us cry it out. The Lord provides peace and strength in his presence. He sees all, he knows all, and he is working on it all. He has the answer. He is the answer. If we will allow him, he will not fail us! We just have to be patient and trust that he is there even when we cannot see him working, hear him speaking , or feel him near us! Remember that our feelings are not always the reality of things. I know it’s hard but he is there! Don’t give up. Just stand! He will not fail us! Last month, while in prayer during Last Wednesday Worship, I was praying for a family that had wrote their name on a prayer card. As I was praying for their need and I was thinking about what their need could be. I didn't know the specifics, but the Lord spoke to me and said that my prayers were being heard. He told me that every need that was being spoken in prayer at that moment was a need from different seasons of life. We all have needs. We are all facing things in different seasons of life! However, he reassured me that he is the God of ALL SEASONS. He gave me a song! I cannot wait to share it. For now, here is a glimpse of what God laid on my heart to share. Let this be your prayer today!
The God of All Seasons Prayer Song
by Tia Manasco
Verse 1:
As I'm kneeling here
Tears are flowing
Your arms embrace me
As questions flood my mind
Peace is flowing
And strength comes my way
I know hope is here to stay
You promise my season will change
You are my God
You're the God of all seasons
Your will be done
Chorus:
Tears are flowing but
Joy will come
Pain abounds but
Healing isn't far
Every view is worth the climb
Every valley has a lily inside
You are my hope
You're the God of all seasons
Your will be done
Beautifully spoken and thank God we are never alone. We can find our secret place with him. ❤️
